1. Take a privacy-by-design approach

When it comes to privacy, there’s a difference between what’s required by law and what’s just good practice.

“Privacy by design means starting from the very earliest touch point with your customer,” says Ben. Think through the entire process of capturing, storing, using, and potentially sharing their information, and ask yourself:

  • Where should we put guardrails in place? 
  • What do we need to notify people about or get consent for?
