Trends 1-Year Anniversary AMA

One year ago, we launched Trends. If you’re reading this, you’re familiar with the product, but you may not be familiar with its origin story.

“How do we build something that’s recession-proof?”, Sam Slacked a few members of the Hustle team in 2018. “Brands will disappear overnight if there’s a market crash. Subscriptions won’t.”

Months later, the beta version fo the Hustle was rolled out. The goal was to create a new service for entrepreneurs: a gateway into deeply researched reports and access to a private community of builders. We believed deeply that despite many of our peers offering content for free, that people would pay for quality insights and to cut through the noise.
